Cakes and Pastries

The success of our famous cakes and pastries can be largely attributed to Mr Ernst Strassman’s passion for confectionary and fine patisserie, after working as Head Patissier at Fortnum & Mason in London. 

Almost 40 years on, under the careful watch of Dieter our bakery manager, these traditional techniques and obsession with flavour and quality of ingredients are as strong as ever. The unique mix of luxury chocolate and fine patisserie puts our produce in a league of its own.

Fine pastries and buns

Some of our best sellers include hand rolled croissants, Danish pastries, pains au chocolat, Belgian buns and our delicious doughnuts, made to a Berliner recipe!! 

Cakes and biscuits

Indulgent triple chocolate brownies, butter shortbread, flapjacks and Viennese whirls are best enjoyed with friends over a steaming pot of tea.  Be adventurous and try one of our toscanas or hazle-nut triangles, both made to a traditional Swiss recipe. Our classic gingerbread men and millionaire shortbread make a special treat for children.

Tarts & Flans

Custard tarts, bakewells, fresh fruit frangipani and glazed strawberry flans are all scrumptious delights to wet the appetite and delight the palate.
